Could this fish have been a record

This monster perch, measuring 19.5 inches in length was found dead in the Gt. Pond this week. It has been estimated that prior to spawning this fish could have approached the British Record catch of 5lbs 15ozs, and was more than 2.5inches longer than the 3lbs 9ozs fish caught in the pond earlier this year.
