Earlier this year we loaned the Environment Agency’s Calverton Fish Farm a few tench for their spawning programme. In return they sent us 100,000 small fry as a thank you. This week they went one further when, as they drained their stock ponds, they found some small fish still in them, and the good news is that ~200 of them were returned to the ponds and split half in the Kingfisher Pond and half in Burcliffe. Pictures show a typical fish..
